This is the second semester of year-long class. Completion of the first semester of this class or teacher approval is required to enroll in this class.

Welcome to Biology – 2nd Semester Live Class! Biology is the study of life! During this class, we will review the textbook questions in preparation for the tests, discuss current topics as they relate to biology and perform some of the experiments from the text.
This class can be considered the student’s first high school level course. Students who are strong in science and math can also take this class as early as 8th grade.
The course covers a wide-range of topics such as:
- Invertebrates of the Animal Kingdom
- Phylum Arthropoda
- Phylum Chordata
- Kingdom Plantae: anatomy and classification
- Kingdom Plantae: physiology and reproduction
- Birds, reptiles, and mammals
This is a YEAR LONG (2 semesters) course covering 16 modules but each semester must be purchased individually.
The textbook to be used is Exploring Creation with Biology, 2nd edition. (Textbooks are not included. There are several online dealers that sell them.) The class will meet once a week. Please allow 1 1/2 hours for class. Each module will take 2 weeks to complete.
Students will be responsible for answering the On Your Own and Study Guide questions after reading the module and participating in the discussion and review of these questions in class. Each module also has a test which will be graded.
Some of the experiments will be done during class but others may need to be completed by the student at home. Students are encouraged to do the experiments at home in order to be awarded a lab credit. Lab reports will be assigned for several of the experiments and are also graded.
This class begins on January 29, 2019 and runs weekly on Tuesday at 12:00pm Central Time through May 21, 2019. There will be no class on April 16th due to Spring Break.
This class will be taught from a biblical, creationist point of view.
