Welcome to Exploring American Cinema Live Class! Let’s go to the Movies!  Come and join us as we explore classic American films and genres in this fun and comprehensive Semester Class.  From the Silent Era to Thrillers to Modern Day Musicals, you can learn about the famous Actors, Directors and lots of fun facts about all of the eras of Hollywood.  All movies or movie clips assigned are available online for free.

  • Lesson 2 – “The Talkies” – Lecture – Transition from Silents to Talkies – Actress Carole Lombard – Fun Facts – Homework and Assigned Films
  • Lesson 3 – “The Depression” – Lecture – Musicals – Choreographer Busby Berkley and Dancers Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers –  Fun Facts – Homework and Assigned Films

This class begins on August 29, 2018 and runs weekly on Wednesday at 9:00am Central Time through November 14, 2018.

This class has a minimum requirement of 3 students.  Class is subject to cancellation if minimum student threshold is not met.
